I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California. During my schooling, I worked with children, teenagers and parents from varying economic and cultural backgrounds. In my time there I gained the therapeutic skills to work with students dealing with depression, anxiety, family conflict, self-esteem and grief. I also worked with sexual abuse survivors under the trauma informed model, and learned how to empower clients from being victims to people who thrive.

Following graduation, I worked at Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic where I worked with children ages 0-10. I am trained in Child Parent Psychotherapy, a trauma based model aimed to support and strengthen the relationship between a child and his or her caregiver. Through working with children, I discovered that often times parents of children will have unresolved trauma that would show up in parenting. It was then I began working with adults individually and used an eclectic approach to help individuals uncover past experiences in order to bring awareness into current patterns. After becoming licensed, I completed the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Training, a research-based roadmap for helping couples compassionately manage their conflicts, deepen their friendship and intimacy, and share their life purpose and dreams.

Currently, I work with children, adults and couples. As a therapist, I feel it is important to tailor my approach to each client differently depending on what they bring into the room. I believe that with the right therapeutic relationship, an individual can discover their true self and become empowered to face life's hardest challenges. People often seek therapy when they are feeling stuck in some sort of way. Challenges are a normal part of everyday life, although it is the way we respond to these events that determine how they will affect our day to day emotions and actions. I believe that we as people have an innate wisdom within ourselves to help guide us to the healthiest version of oneself. Although this knowledge is sometimes hard to recognize, within this is where I can help.Â

Therapy is a collaborative partnership that brings awareness to underlying issues that have caused challenges in relationships, work and everyday life. I incorporate mindfulness to help you acknowledge your thoughts and feelings with compassion. I help clients relieve negative patterns and put in place positive ways of navigating through the world.
