Mary O'Connor, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker #95965
Expertise: Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Complex Trauma, Relationship issues, Coping with major life changes.
As a psychodynamically trained therapist from Smith College School for Social Work, I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and complex trauma. I believe that these problems are often rooted in early life experiences that might have felt challenging, scary, or unsafe. I utilize attachment and trauma theory to help my clients understand themselves, heal past wounds, and develop healthier relationships. My approach to treatment is one of warmth and curiosity. The most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship and my priority is to provide a clinical environment that feels safe, comfortable, and secure as we begin to work together.
