Lynn Cohen, LCSW

Lynn Cohen is a licensed clinical social worker who holds a masters degree from Hunter School of Social Work in New York.  Post licensing I advanced my studies at the New York Psychoanalytic Institute as well as the Southern California Psychoanalytic Institute.

I have a psychodynamic approach to therapy, helping people to gain insight into their lives and their patterned behaviors and relationships in efforts to make wanted/needed changes. My therapeutic style is collaborative and interactive. I see my role in the therapeutic process as a privilege and strive to create a place where client's can be who they are without judgement. A place to make meaning out of the past rather than to react to it. Through insight, warmth, compassion and humor I hope to establish a trusting rapport and provide clients with a safe space to share their vulnerabilities.

I have had a significant amount of experience both in my private practice and at a mental health inpatient facility where I served as Clinical Director. I work with individuals and couples in treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders and trauma.
