Daniel Lance, Psy.D. is a licensed Clinical and Forensic psychologist (PSY26291). He treats adults and adolescents, specializing in bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Dr. Lance uses an integrative approach to treatment, with training in cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and motivational interventions and treatment modalities, as well as in the recovery model. He provides treatment to individuals and couples, as well as provides clinical and forensic psychological assessment and testing services.
Dr. Lance earned his doctoral degree and Master of Arts in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University, Los Angeles. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Lance completed a one-year pre-doctoral internship with the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health in the Community and Correctional Mental Health track. He interned at Shields for Families and Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center. He fulfilled his post-doctoral requirements at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, working as a clinician in a forensic program, providing individual and group therapy services to clients with psychiatric, substance abuse, and legal mandates.
In addition to his clinical roles, Dr. Lance also worked as a visiting professor at Devry University, teaching undergraduate introductory psychology courses.
Currently, Dr. Lance works as a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and Community Program Director for the Conditional Release Program for San Bernardino and Riverside counties. In this role, he provides clinical oversight to a forensic outpatient program that offers individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, psychological evaluations, and risk assessments. He also provides expert witness testimony on psycho-legal issues. He is a current member of the American Psychological Association and the Forensic Mental Health Association of California.
