Christopher M. Recupero, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist (PSY16737) with over twenty years of experience in both the private and public sectors.
He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology, master’s degree in counseling psychology, and Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Boston College. He completed a pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship at Mount Sinai Services at Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York City.
He utilizes a collaborative problem-solving approach with his clients utilizing cognitive behavioral techniques centered on goal attainment and symptom reduction. He is active and directive in his therapeutic approach, guiding clients to develop their strengths, gain insight and change behavior. He believes that instilling hope and forming a therapeutic alliance with his clients is the foundation to successful treatment.
